need a remedy for nightmares!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many times do you get up sweating, gasping,agitated and soetimes screaming only to open your eyes and stare into the nightlamp know that you were sleeping and u you just had a NIGHTMARE?????? Can you suggest any tips to have a relatively peaceful and dreamless night????????

Don't eat a lot of crazy stuff or drink caffeinated beverages right before bed. Think of something that makes you happy right before you go to sleep. I don't usually dream unless I've had a hectic day, but then the dreams are so bizarre. They are made up of little things that happen during the day but are so twisted!
