what the hell on earth should i do?

currently i am in a situation which is equal as to standing between devil and sea. i need your help folks. I am doing my graduation in India. i love helping my friends, neighbours and almost any one i know. i dont like to say i cant. the problem is that my family members say that helping others wont do good to me and they are of the opinion that i do only what i have to do and dont bother about other things. anyhow i cant let any of my contacts down. i also cant let down my family. SO RESPECTED LADIES AND GENTLEMENS PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD I DO?
