I am an Asian n't western so, i can speak Urdu, which is my national language.
Punjabi, its my provincial language and
english, its an international language.
Actually, western people do n't seek Asians language bcuz they feel themselves super and their languages r accepted in Asia too but none of Asain language has any importance in west.

No, I do not speak any language other than English and have never found the need to learn another one either, and although I did learn French when I was in school that has been long forgotten. The thing to remember here is that English is a universal language and is spoken in so many countries around the world as their first language.
At the same time there are many different Asian languages, dialects etc that it is impossible for people to learn all of them. Many of those of English speaking backgrounds who choose to live in a country where English is not the first language often learn the language of their chosen country. We know some men and women who have a wife or husband who is Asian and the English speaking partner also learns something of the other language, despite the fact that they do live in Australia. It is about choice and necessity in many cases and the internet is a classic example where so much is in English. Of course there are other languages as well, but generally not broken down into the different dialects.
It is often the case that a person can learn a text book language, but cannot converse properly in the language simply because of the nuances of the second language.

I've seen some westerners in the Philippines speak filipino.
I know a little bit of french and a little bit of filipino. I don't know how to speak other asian languages because I didn't grow up around it. I also had other asian friends but they were born and raised in the US so they spoke to me in english.
