if u r a developer, u r gonna have problems with Vista.....it still has issues with some major developing tools........like Dreamweaver n Adobe Suite..........Adobe After Effects isn't gonna run if u don't have 2 Gigs of RAM on a Vista machine....... But if u wanna keep Vista only for eye-candy or juzz for casual use, it doesn't give any major problem other than sucking up huge amount of processor power when u turn on Flip 3D...(or Dreamscene.......if u have Ultimate) Presently I got Ultimate installed, but am gonna remove it.....n wait for MS's more stable release, somewhere around 2011-12.............

don't bet on vista to do fine at the moment. in fact there are only a handful of software and drivers compatible with it. if you want to the everything working properly and you want vista better to just wait for a while until it matures, there is also a news that Service Pack 1 is already on the way for 2nd half this year. with SP1 there could be a lot of changes and fixes and hopefully it is close to running perfectly

Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

history repeats itself... that will always be the case, when winxp was released, a lot of programs won't run in its environment but runs smoothly in win98. years passed until everything's fine. i have a feeling it would be the same with vista.

In my opinion she is not good an appositive one of the Microsoft. Therefore many do not have the following minimum configuration (to run home basic version): * 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor * 512 MB of system memory * 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space * Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory * DVD-ROM drive * Audio Output * Internet access (fees may apply). Also the system is very expensive and it does not have no innovation that linux does not have. I find that the Microsoft had to open the eyes that thus the side does not go none. Have a nice day
