how to be safe from scams?

just now i got information that www.surfjunky.com is scam.i was told by some members.but i thought to work for them.if they don't inform me then if i work for surfjunky then what will be my position?thanks god for saving me.but does each and everybody is safe from scams?how can we tackle them? can anyone suggest warning signals of scam to me any mylot members?
