Why should the actors and actresses be paid so much?

i don't think they are over paid, they are paid a certain amount of money to act in the piece, and then if it happens to be a film or show on tv they get paid by how many people watch it and by how many dvd's videos etc are bought of the piece they are performed in

It depends upon the popularity and demand. People are mad to see their favorite actor always. Obviously, more demanded product has more value whatever be the production cost. Similarly, actors are products and their acting are the production cost, directors are the customer. Whatever cost they demand for them , the directors has to buy.

yes even i feel that they are overpaid.... but u see , they are the ones who make the greatest impact on our society ..... ppl imitate them so much that they are in the lime light always..... and once ppl come in lime light ,their rate increases...... ppl should understand and do not make a hype of them!!!! what say???? tc enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

hey get paid for makin gus spend our hard earned money, to waste our precious time, to go to a far away theatre and to sit ther for three hours and cry over the hero and heroine getting separated even when we know that it is all an imagination. in short they earn to make foold out of educated folks like us!
