I was watching David Letterman the other night and noticed that Peyton was wearing a wedding band, well I have just recently became a Indidanapolis fan about a year ago it got me curious so I did a search and found out the following information and thought I would pass it on.
Born 3-24-76 to Archie and Olivia Manning in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has 2 brother Cooper who is older and whose college football career was cut short due to spinal stenosis, and Eli who is younger who is the New York Giants QB.
Peyton played football at his high school Isidore Newman and college ball at the University of Tennessee. He was the first overall pick in the NFL draft of 1998 when Indianapolis drafted him.
On 3-17-01, Peyton married his college girlfreind, Ashley Thompson.
Peyton is 6'5" tall and weighs 230 lbs., he has gone to the Pro Bowl in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.
His most recent award was the Super Bowl XLI MVP.
Peyton has several NFL awards.

Thanks for the information. I heard through the grapevine that he was married, but I didn't know for sure! I was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana so I am a HUGE Colts fan. I cried when we won the superbowl. I was so happy for Dungy and Manning. They both deserved it, as well as the team! They have all worked so hard!

I actually live a few miles from the Mannings' house. It is gorgeous , of course. Ashley is into a lot of charity works and I have seen her on several magazines and television newscasts. She seems to be really nice.
I am a huge Colts fan and was so glad to see them win this year. Everyone has said for years that Peyton couldn't win a Super Bowl,but I knew that he and Dungy would pull it off soon.

Peyton is not seen with his wife a lot Ashley tries to stay out of the lime light as much as possible. Although from time to time when she is doing her charity work you will see them together. What I find surprising is how little they talk about her during football games. With a lot of players and sports they will show someone's wife or girlfriend over and over on the sideline or in the stands. I have watched pretty much every Colts game for the last 5 years and they have only mentioned her a few times and I don't remember them ever showing her in the stands.
