i think chelsea way of playing football doesn't suits him.
chelsea goals most likely come from midfield ie long shot and set pieces ie corner & freekick. frank lampard is their second highest goalscorer. even their defender (carvalho) manage to score two goals - one less than shevchenko.
does shevy done enough to deserve a place in the first team?
to me, mourinho will only use him as a backup striker.
what should we do with him?
i think, he will be another crespo - loaned out or sold to another team back in italy.

I think he needs time to settle in to the team because his playing style at ac milan was that of a total attacking player, but now he has to play a supporting roles along with drogba so i think he needs adjust. He showed his brillance vs Porto today with the sidefoot past the keeper to equalize. I think he's finally starting to show some form and should deserve a place in the first team. I also disagree about your view that chelsea are most likely to score from a long shot or a set piece because they have capable strikers who can do well one on one, like Drogba and perhaps to a lesser extent at the moment, Shevchenko. I also disagree with the point that you made that Shevchenko will be another crespo because he has shown his quality and excellent work rate and is in my opinion just starting to settle into the style of English football. Give him till the end of the season before you judge him too harshly ( I know he cost 30 million) because he doent become a prolific goalscorer without having talent.

He will have to leave chelsea to find his form , if he stays in chelsea , he will have limited time to show what he is capable of .

Shevchenko is an internationally renouned player. He has consistantly produced the goods in other areas but all players have bad patches. In my opinion, great players dont become bad over night, lets just give him time.
blessed be
