I have been on trip for nearly 3 months, and feel very alone and depressive. I just stay at hotel and do nothing except for working. I have friends here, and can only talk with my familay and friend by call. Tell me what should I do, dear friedns.

I could certainly relate to you. I also worked in another country a few years back for 3 years. The first 2 months was really unbearable. All I did was to cry and keep calling my family and friends. I was alomst ready to pack up my belongings and go home. My antidote to loneliness is to keep working...working...and working. Eventually, I got used to the surroundings and began to have new friends. Anyone working away from the family also goes through this stage. You'll just have to hang on and stay strong. You'll get use to it in due time.

do you know a small town? do you have ties holding you back from a move? i lived in toronto, canada. a big impersonal city unless you are part of it. there are options. there are solutions. and i firmly believe that there is someone for everyone. i moved to the east coast of canada and found real people. in the small town that i live i found friends, love, community and a place for me. please do not give up.

Friend, since you are asking us to tell what to do, here is my suggestion:
1. If you are employed, think of your present skills. Try to expand them by studying and practising new techniques and if possible obtain a qualification to support your new skills. These will come handy when you have to change your job.
2. If you are doing business, think of "opportunity costs" which is a term used in economics. You will compare different businesses which can be taken up with your monetary resources and assets. Develop strategies and keep them in store, to make use of them when a real change becomes imperative.

I think you should have some fun time of your own and do things which you like most like playing, reading, listening to music etc.

When I am really depressed all I want to do is stay in bed and sleep. I also have a tendacy of eating when I shouldn't.
