I love the show and can't wait for the movie, just wish uptight fools didn't overrated to what happened in Boston.
The mastermind behind the Cartoon Network guerrilla-marketing campaign that bombed - sending Boston into hours of panic over a feared terrorist plot to blow up bridges and tunnels - said the lighted signs were never meant to look like explosives.
"It was certainly never our intention to create something that would scare people," Sam Ewen, the marketing maestro behind the campaign for the network's "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," said in his first interview since the Jan. 31 fiasco.
Ewen, the founder of Interference Inc., the Greenwich Village-based agency that spent five months planning the stunt, said he couldn't comment on whether the signs, each comprised of dozens of tiny blinking bulbs, actually looked like bombs.
"It's not my training or specialty," Ewen told Brandweek, which will publish the exclusive chat in its Monday edition.
Bostonians blew a gasket over the campaign, and flooded their police department with panicked calls. Emergency service cops canvassed the city and shut down traffic for hours.
Turner Broadcasting's Cartoon Network eventually apologized to the Beantown badge brigade and forked over $2 million to cover the cost of the reaction to the stunt.
Ewen said that despite everything - including the meager ratings bump the program received - he expects to get more work from Turner in the future.

It's awesome.
Did you hear about what happend in New York, it might have been Chicago. Some guy over about a period of two years put a bunch of 3-d bumper stickers of the bad guys (aliens) in Aqua Teen all over a bunch of buildings. Eventually they were all over the place and some people got freaked out, not knowing what they were, and called the police. They thought they were bombs.... lol!!!
The guy is in jail now, I think... or something. But they weren't bombs, just stickers.
