Family driving you crazy

A close family member of mine is driving me crazy. She has problems, and i know she doesn't mean any harm to anyone. Still the way she acts towards the rest of us is very difficult to deal with. She blames the rest of our family for everything that goes wrong in her life, and makes extremely hurtful coments about us and to us. This has been going on for years, and talking to her about it has not helped. It has gotten to the point where several of us have gotten health-problems due to her. Just seeing that she has sent me an email or sms gives me an enormous stress-reaction. I pounder over this to the degree where I cannot sleep.
Does anyone have an advice as to how to relate to her?

Yah, it's happened to us before. Those people dind't have e-mail, but they had other ways of annoying the crap out of us!!
You need to IGNORE this person. Don't let the guilt get to you. Tell her you have your own stuff to deal with right now, and that you can't deal with her right now. It's nothing personal, just that her level of stress is far greater than you are capable of dealing with, at this point.

Thanks for the best response! When a couple of people at home started to really get to me, I just packed my bags and left the country for a while! ;-) Two weeks in Arizona did me A LOT of good, and they couldn't get to me there.

Thank you so much for the advice! I know the best thing is for us to ignore her, and don't let her get to us. But it is very hard. She is the same way with many others in our family. They too get very upset, and talk to us about it. she's having a good periode now - then she stays away from us. Crossing our fingers this will last a while.

well to be honest speak to her direstly and just be nice and ask why she is doing like this ..in case you think its diffcult to open up with her ..iin terms of talking ..just ignore her things ..well dont care
