I think they are pretty much safe. I think if they weren't safe, we would be seeing a lot of news about injuries. I think they have to pass inspections too!
I might be a little skeptical about the traveling parking lot rides though.

Every area has certain rules & regulations for this. All the rides must be inspected or the company will be shut down. Thanks for the response.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Remember the movie Tintanic? The big ship claimed to be the most firm and solid vessels in the world. They hired the best professional mechanics too. But accident still happened and made the ship a pile of broken steel. So, the ride in the amusement fair may have the same probability of having undesired things to happen. This is the same as one driving on the road, even a new car may go awry. Therefore, I think when you have a moment in a fair, be happy and fully enjoy it. Trust your luck and trust your being blessed by God.

I trust all carnival rides fully. You see I worked for a traveling carnival for about 15 years. Ive also worked at DisneyWorld Cedar Point and Kings Island. I have seen the stae inspections that occur very very often. Ive seen the repairs done also. The rides are very safe. Now as for the people who run them...... The major parks train their employess fully in the aspect of the ride as far as safety care etc. Now the traveling carnivals.....when I worked for them (60's) I wouldnt trust them. But now days they are checked rigourously by local governments. So I trust them also. Thanks for this topic.

It is not a question for me taht I trust those rides or not, because I don't want those ride at all. Somehow I feel little nervous when I think about a ride like rolercoster. I think only a rope way is the ride waht I can take lol.

no, I sure don't. There have been too many reports of fatal accidents due to missing bolts, or faulty aged equiptment, my life and my kids' lives are too precious for me to risk it. Well, we do enjoy some rides that I don't think would be terribly dangerous if there is a malfunction such as the carousal LOL.

I trust them in general, i even heard it on nat geo or discovery that safety pins are more risky than roller coasters, but at the time of ride i get some kind of nerves n feel a bit scared, i start to doubt if the checking n other security things are proer, but then this fear makes the ride even more enjoyable.
Thanks.
