now that is a question more important than the holly grail. cause the legen has it that the one who discovers the true name of god will gain huge powers and shall be sitted beside the allmighty in heaven. and the matter is greatly discussed in the movie Pi, by Darren Aranofsky. you should watch it. it explains a lot.

I don't think that's true. What proof does he have about that claim?

There are many names used to call God in the Bible. Some are Elohim, I am, the tetragramaton YHWH, El and El with other words like El Shaddai, El Elyon etc. Giving names are only applicable to humans to distinguish one person from another. God doesn't need to have a name. "I am what I am" would suffice.

I think it is YHWH - or YaHWeH, the Hebrews only used consonants, the translation into english is Jehovah.. But He Himself said His name is "I Am" - this supports my theory that He is Life itself, the life force.. He's Life, and Perfection.. Any idea or thought or even doctrine that does not agree with - He is good, He is Perfect.. cannot be true. So to me His names are YHWH, Life, Perfection, Love, Good, All Good..
["hell" for instance is a mistranslation! it should read "grave" - "God is the savior of all men" 1 Tim 4:10.

I think God. if he had a true name, I think we can't speak it as a sign of respect and reverence.
