Insurance companies don't cover medication to quit!

I dropped off my prescription for Chantix today, all ready to quit. I gave them my insurance information, and they told me that Chantix and other such drugs are NOT covered by insurance! I find this unbelievable! I mean, don't they want us to quit smoking?
Actually, they don't! If we're sick, it makes them more money. Chantix is $150. I don't mind that it is so much money if it works, but the insurance companies should be ASHAMED of themselves for not helping people who are trying to get healthy. What do you think? Should insurance companies cover medications to help you quit smoking (like the patch, Chantix, Welbutrain, nicotine inhalers, and nicotine gums) or should us smokers trying to quit be tortured because we're trying to do the right things?
