Are you willing to compromise something for the sake of the company?

Sometimes we torn between our principle and for the benefit of the company. The company wanted us to do things which could compromise our faith and to what we know is right.
In myself, I find it hard to decide whether I go for what the company wanted me to do, which is obviously wrong, or go on to what I know is right. Like for example forging a signature. I know there are lots of you have gone through situations wherein you need the help of others. Kindly share as this might relevant to us and in this way we can have an idea on how to handle the situation.

I quit a job in the past because they were always doing things that I felt were against my basic beliefs. The funny thing was it had to do with how they treated their other employees, men working in a factory. On my last day these men lined the hall cheering as I walked out. Weeks later some came to my house and told me they agreed with me but didn't have the guts to do what I had done, they also brought milk, slipped me some money, and helped with some things around the house. Their support and encouragement helped me to realize I had done the right thing.

What you've done is all worthwhile. Some company's really just do what they knew was wrong inorder to survive, this doesn't mean that I condemn them already. I understand situations like these, but if I were to ask, I won't tolerate their actions. Eventually, they're going to realize it.
What you saw is what you reap. This is how life goes normally.

Honestly, i'v gone through it. Though it is a sin, for the sake of the company and for your job, do it. Nowadays its really hard to look for a job. Sometimes we are force to do wrong things for the good of our career. We know what is Right when we did wrong.
If it really bothers you, and you feel not doing it anymore, look for a job that you think is good for you.

I better look for another job then. What is the use of staying in my work if I don't happy anymore. But then again, I know it's hard. First, I look for other way or options to solve the problem before quitting, if there's none then that's the time I quit. At least I've done my part. (As the song goes... I did my best but I guess my best wasn't good enough)
For me, you can live with peace of mind if you are true to yourself. *wink

You know the difference between right and wrong Celine. If your employer is asking you to commit dishonest acts, then feel pure in your correct decision. If you live your own life knowing your own rights and wrongs then you will be aware of them forever. You will have learned from your errors in judgement and mistakes. You will never, ever forget when you have done the wrong thing by someone.

I've gone through it, protecting company's name, personnel though i was the one been affected, to follow your superior though they are wrong but there's nothing you can do because you have to do it because you worked there..so if you can't bear it then you must have to leave and look for some company that would be fitted to your beliefs then just like i do...and i have no regret of letting go of it because i do believe that GOD has prepared something good for me ahead and it was true then, HE give me a company that i could say i just found the one i'm looking for. At first, i thought i could have a hard time of looking for a company to work for but GOD was so good to me to provide me everything for HE knows that letting go of my previous employer will have a great impact and change on my life as well.So just believe and trust GOD's will but you have to do your part also. GOD will just lead you to the path, a right path ahead.
