I think that as long as someone is enjoying the career he/she choose and someone is welling to pay them for doing it, then it's a good choice :) It really takes all kind of people and jobs to make the world what it is.. what I consider a stupid career choice is when someone insists on doing something when they just don't have the talent or the abilities to succeed in it.

I have a friend (a male friend) who is a flight attendant at Air France. I have always been thinking that serving drinks is not serious for a man. I mean, it's ok to do it during some time, maybe when you are young in order to travel for free and support yourself. But as a career choice, I find it pretty weird, because I find a very little ambition choice for a man.
Especially I find it weird when you see a man with grey hair in his 50s serving drinks on board.

Some of us are lucky enough to have pursued a career which really fit us and thus we love doing. For most of us though, this does not hold true. If we look around us, people are going through their jobs because they have to earn money to make them see each day through.
I will consider those who find their field of interest so defined they cannot go wrong, to be very lucky in life. Only a few are able to do this. So if I have a friend who is sure that to be in the circus is life for him, I'd encourage him to. If I'd encounter an accountant who discovers that to lead a farm life is what appeals to him most, I'd tell him to have a go at it. Happiness in what we are doing is very important. It gives us a sense of fulfillment.
