Human milk for human babies

We are the only mamals that drink milk from another animal. I read a great quote that said "Milk is a perfect food for the infants of the mothers producing it". Cows grow at such a quicer rate than children. Cow milk for cow babies and human milk for human babies. Why do we give children cow milk?
