how efficient a call center agent should be?

well, many people ask the same question..is it really easy to work in a call center?as to my point of view, it's real dead hard!!!it takes a very competitive communication skills to survive not to mention other skills this works require you..what do you think?

as for the the 1st question, is it really easy to work in a call center? as for my own opinion, it's not. i have experienced working in a call center. sleepless nights, skipping meals, having pain in your back because of travelling during night to go to your office, too high temp. of aircon, your eyes all focused in the computer, hearing irate callers shouting at the top of their voice. its a big change in your life. everything you used to do before will be set aside, thank God if you can manage to be awake 24hours a day.

I think call center representatives should focus more of their time on doing hands-on experience with their tech products rather than reading them from a manual. Not to mention annunciating their English vocabulary just so I can know what they're talking about.
