I have a cat and have grown up with one. They are soft and cute and fuzzy. I've tried to get along with dogs but for some reason I can't relate to them very well. I don't like their hair the same way a cat does and they don't purr. They also demand too much attention. But they are cute and can be trained. My 11 year old cat is named Socks.

I had a nasty cat once, but that was because my ex was not nice to her. She was the only bad cat I had. Her name was Nala and she was very anti social.

I've seen some nasty dogs. Dogs that eat poop, roll in chicken poop or the like, etc. I've never seen a cat do that.

I prefer cats, but currently have 2 dogs. Sadly my dogs are aggressve towards cats and other small animals, so I won't be getting a cat again for several years. One thing I miss about having a cat is the purring. I find it very soothing.

Yes Purring is very soothing. My cats purr is not loud but I can feel it when I touch his side and neck.
