Oh golly! Last week it was 10 below 0 here and we had snow everywhere. Today it was 50 above 0 and now we are predicted for a thunderstorm on Saturday and a Blizzard on Sunday.....ahhhhh, Nebraska. Most of the midwest experiences drastic weather changes in spring and fall here in the states.
I can also tell you that many, many people who live with this every year would give their eye teeth to be where you are year round *S*.
If hubby and I take a vacation we always go in January. AND we either go to Las Vegas (desert so short sleeve weather for us in January) or to Jamaica. We love Ocho Rios.

One of my sisters used to live in Oklahoma but they moved to Vegas and said that's a wonderful place. Never had a chance to visit though. I'm thinking of going to Georgia in the future to visit another sister but visa restrictions are so tight nowadays and I may have to wait for a couple of years more. Cheers.

I live in a pretty much snow-free area of the United States now, but I grew up in Colorado where we got tons of it. Sometimes it would pile up to the tops of the doors and we'd either have to stay inside or dig our way out (which we only did to get to the fire-wood or let the dog out, since digging out only led you to a car that couldn't go anywhere).
Have you seen snow in real life before?

I experienced a real cold winter in Augsburg, Germany years back and it was real nice. I went to visit a friend in Bavaria, a rural place near Munich and passed though a wide open field where there was nothing but snow. Houses are nearly covered, the same with trees and fences. Ahhh memories. I wish I could travel again.
Speaking of Colorado. When I was a young boy, my father was sent by our government to do some schooling in Lowry Air Force Base in Denver. That was a long time ago and I don't know if that place exists today. Anyway my father used to tell us stories of seeing snows in several parts of the US and that was the first time I got so excited.
