Is there a local rescue society or trusted animal shelter in your area? Animal control is great for removing the animals, however if your local shelter is already overcrowded and it is a kill shelter, they may choose to destroy the dogs. Try searching the internet for a rescue society in your area and see if they would be willing to come and take the dogs. You may have to wind up calling animal control in the end anyway, especially if the mother is aggressive. Good Luck!!

I would just go ahead and feed the mother. If she's friendly then that's a plus cause she might let you handle the pups. If she does, handle them alot, let them get used to ppl. That way they will be easier to adopt out once they are weaned. Let the mother wean them on her own. She knows best for her pups. Once they reach bout 8wks, they will be fully weaned and ready to leave mom. That's when you can find homes for them all. If you don't want to go thru all that, then just call the humane society or animal control to come get them.

I have face many time this situation. Generally I let them to grow enough to find out thier way. Some time I feed them. But never try to touch the baby. well.... You can call vet dept to help you. I think they have also right to live in this world. If we have every creature then one day on other creature remain except human being.

i would call your local animal control. Depending on how your local dept is they might take some time to get out there but they eventually will. I'd feed them for now, well really you're feeding the mother. I wouldn't get *too* close to them though, who knows how the mother dog will act.

Are they, by any chance, purebred? If yes, by all means keep them, raise them then sell them!$$$
If not, call your local animal control, that is if you have one.
But if you really want to, feeding is easy if the mom is still there but almost impossible if you're on your own. If the mom is still there, feed it and give it milk. If you can tie it up, better.
If the pups were abandoned, you'll have to give them milk around 5 to 8 times a day or more. We're talking 24 hour duty shifts here. You'll probably lose some pups along the way. 7 is a lot of mouths to feed and they don't even get hungry at the same time. The first two weeks are the hardest. After that, semi-solid foods can be introduced. Feeding two to three times a day may be enough.
Good luck.
