can you share your call center experience?

i am curious, lots of people are becoming an agent.can you share your experiences on this one?what are the advantages and disadvantages being a call center agent?do you think you would grow old doing this job?

no, you wouldn't want to grow old as a call center agent.
few people call in to tell you how good the product is, they call in to tell you the product doesn't work or they been scammed, and that they'll call fcc and bbb. some call in very frustrated and just want to vent out, so you have to listen for minutes, and that is bad for agents who have their call handle time averaged daily. there are some who are just too dumb, believe me, i've had my share of them. some senior citizens call in for tech help and its quite a challenge to explain to them how to make their gadgets work. people who can't speak english as clearly as you would like them to would call in and you simply can't understand what they're telling you. the list goes on.
just get's to your nerves.

do you really have to be fluent in english when you work for a call center or you are being trained for that?is it all worth it?i heard agents heve a high salary.

Been there-done that and wouldnt do it again.It was all inbound but just the same.Sure doesnt pay much and to get any type of bonus is way far fetched.
