I took my 5 year old shopping with me the other day and I decided to pick up some hair dye. My daughter was so persistant on me getting this one called cinnamon something sort of a dark auburn kind of color! So just to make her day ... LOL i got it. There is no way that i would have picked a redish color on my own ... LMAO!! Sp here is a pick of me and my new hair. Do you think that maybe i should re dye it light or do you think that i can pull it off at least for the now??? My avator photo is my natural hair color. My mother keeps telling me that it isn't so bad but i don't know ... LOL! Maybe i just need some time to get used to it is all ... LOL! Honest opinions please it is fine to tell me that you think that it looks awful if that is truly hat you think!! I can handle it so it is cool to give me the cold, hard truth ... LMAO!! God Bless you all!!

I think your hair colour looks fine hun, you just need to get used to it. I have been dying my hair for years, all different colours including purple - lol. Give it a few days to settle down and you will find it looks cool

I don't see why not, if it looks good on you go for it. You only live once you know. And sometimes change is good. If you get tired of it you can go back to your old colour.

Have not seen the picture and am sure you follwed the directins and if others like it while it lasts. Hope it matches your eyebrows that is the thing about coloring. Using a shade within a couple of shades of your own. Glad you were brave to try it. Nothing wrong with a red head, I am one!! lol Have fun with it!!

I do think that if your mother thinks that it isn't too bad then it must be ok maybe it is just that you are not used to it that you feel this way. Give it time for you to get used to it and then if you don't like it at all you could change it. But I do think it looks ok.

I guess you are right and i do not think that my mother would lie just to make me feel better. So i thin i will give myself a few days to adjust and i am sure that it will be fine!

Ronita, it is a bit hard to tell from the photo, but I think you look much nicer with a darker shade than with your natural shade. I was always a rich, dark auburn, but in recent years it has faded. I still call myself a redhead, but others seem surprised when I say I used to have really red hair. I asked my hairdresser what colour my hair is and was told it is now honey blonde or sandy blonde. I don't believe it! I must admit that I would look better with a darker shade, but I don't think I would ever have it coloured. Keep your darker hair! As long as YOU like it, no one else matters!

I know i have to try to adjust my webcam as i can not download photos on my old computer! I call her old betsy but thankfully she gets everything done for me ... LMAO!!!! Wow ... That is a huge change in your hair color and i guess that this stuff can happen! My natural color darkens in the winter and lightens in the summer also!!!

I think it looks good. The picture quality isn't the best so it's kind of hard to tell. But it looks natural at least...I have reddish highlights in my hair. When I do dye it I usually go with a golden brown or dark ash blonde. My sister has natuarally red, curly hair.

That is what i told my mom that every color i have ever tried always seems to look natural!! I think that your hair is perfect though for blondish streaks for sure!!! When i did get my hair streaked it was that color also!! I loved that streak job for sure!!!

It's kind of hard to tell from the photo, but from what I can see it looks fine. It's fun to try something different, and I think you should stick with it for a bit just to see how it goes. =p I think I'll do my hair red again soon. I had red hair as a kid, but it's darker these days and I miss my red hair. =p

Ronita, I think the hair looks great. My hair before going gray was an light/medium auburn I continue to dye my hair red, when ever I change to something redder to be ifferent I hate it but I get more compliments than when I just do the same color over and over. I think that it's just such a drastic difference for us that we can't get past the "OH MY GOSH, WHAT HAVE I DONE", take few days and see what you think I'm betting it will grow on you, in a matter of days. Just my opinion. Have fun as a redhead, your aloud to have a bit of a firey temper too, LOL. It's kinda expected. :)

I think that i normally tend to have such an attitude at times any how ... LMAO!! I will however keep this is mind and i agree that i think i will like it soon enough too! I like to try new and different things and when i talked about dying it lighter my daughter asked why do i have to change it already ... LMAO! So i think i better stick with it besides i do not like to dye it too frequently!!

From what I can see it suits you. I think it looks nice, and I would kill for hair like yours! LOL. I have blond and red chunks in mine with a chocolate brown base color and so it costs me an absolute fortune to have it done at the Salon. I know I have to go again soon, and I'm debating what shade of red to go. I'm thinking something completely shockingly red like Jean Gray in X-Men 3. Way to go on having the courage to change your hair colour so drastically. I like how it looks and I think your daughter has great taste in color.

Wow .... What a wonderful response and i thank you for this!! It sure boosts up the courage in showing it off as i stay home alot with my kids and i just choose to stay home ( probably too much ) ... LOL! I guess this explains the over three years of singleness although i used to work full time up until a year ago. I think that the yu should go for the Jean Grey in X men red i think that would be awesome and the way that you explained your hair already if you can pull that off than i guarentee you can also pull that off as well! Good Luck and God Bless hun!!

I think it looks lovely, but it's up to you whether you feel comfortable really. Why not keep it red for a while and then if you get fed up go back to your normal colour. I went red last year - the brightest red I could find and have just gone back blonde I am planning on having the underneath red soon. I can never decide which I like most although I am naturally blonde.

It's hard to really see the true color in the photo, but from what I can see it looks awesome! You have the coloring to get away with reds and should consider yourself lucky! I've always wanted to try red, but I know that it would be a disaster. You may just need more time to get used to it, because it is such a change.

I believe your new hair color looks good on you. I've dyed my hair before a couple of times usually a darker color than what my hair is naturally, it took a couple days to get use to, but once I did I started to really like the darker color. Like others have stated if you still don't like after a couple days, you can always lighten it some.

Ronita, I really don't think that it looks bad at all. I don't see any harm in keeping your hair that color for awhile. It's bound to get you noticed, and some compliments on your new hair color, anyway! And I think that it makes you stand out from the crowd. Although it's actually a bit difficult to tell exactly how it looks from your photo, it definitely doesn't look bad or anything that you should be ashamed about, lol. I think that you should keep it for at least a few days and see what people around you have to say and how they react. I kinda like it. ^_^

i can't really see the picture clearly. but what i could imagine from them. is that i think you will look better not being a red head. not that it looked all that bad, but i would stick with what you were using
