So the People's Champion finally succumbed to the lurings of the dirty politicians. He practically said he can do both things at the same time. Preparing for his boxing matches and serving the Filipino people.
Well, I think he can't! His training is very rigorous and requires much of his time. Serving as a congressman on the other hand requires a lot of time as well when Congress is in session. Add to that, that Manny still has a lot to learn.
So guys, what do you think? Should our idol box his way to the political arena or he better back out?

it's obvious he's not qualified.he didn't even have the high school diploma so how can be competitive??or how can he prepare himself for a privilidge speech whenever it needs to??you know, pacquiao's candidacy was mechanize by some politician who tends to serve not the masses but themselves. If i were in pacquiao's feet,i would rather continue my boxing career, and i think it would be a great shame and devastation in his career if he loose this coming election.

Hard to believe that Pacquiao is running for public office. Does he even know what are the responsibilities of being a Congressman, or did he think of it before He made a decision, probably Yes but can he do it?
We expect Representatives to create laws and investigate in short legislation. The problem here is how he well create laws when he doesn't even know how to interpret it.
Even though He has a staff to assist him but at the end of the day he's still the one to make a decision. If he really wants to help there are so many ways, probably Pacquiao got those advised from trapo's....Dont need to mention who they are!!!
He could run for a Vice Mayor or Mayor but not as Congressman or Senator.
I lookup to Pacquiao as a great boxer but not as becoming a politician.

Not to mention that he is going to be the one to present his bills to the plenary. Talk about Parliamentary Rules. I am not underestimating the man but he is better off at boxing. He has already inspired the Filipino people by being the king in the boxing arena. I don't want his reputation to be smeared by politics.

Yeah. It was an absurd idea. He can't even answer the media's questions regarding his political agendas properly! Well, he really has to go a long way in learning everything about politics if he's seriously running. If not, he'd be better of at the boxing arena and give away his winnings to help than be another puppet of politicians.

I think he could help society more by following the footsteps of other great athletes and setting up a foundation for the less fortunate. That way, he can concretely use his money and his popularity for a socially-responsible cause.
