Teaching "Love" as an academic subject in school

A school was estalished in China to educate interested people about "Love". It's unlikely that love, which has been a popular subject all-year round, had been regarded as a subject in formal institution. The Chinese professor had taught the subject only during weekends. In school, we also have talked about the phenomenology of love during our Philosophy class but having love as a subject itself, would that improve the practical side of it?
