Cesar Montano is a good director and a promising actor, even in hollywood (The Great Raid) but running for a senatorial position? Duh. He has no political background and experience, would he be a good leader to us? What can you say about it?

Also add Richard Gomez in the list ^_^ Showbiz actors turned their professions and intentions way too politically now a days. They sought power after dominance of fame and fortune . I'm not jotting them down but it is so frustrating to see such good actors go away with politics so easily. Not again.

search for what Peter Principle is. This applies to actors/actresses who run for politics. Thanks for your response.

I searched Peter Principles and it says there, "The end result for an organization as a whole is that the organization is prone to collapse when the number of incompetents among its ranks reach a critical number, resulting in the inability of the organization to perform its function." Very true and so sad that it is inevitable if these kind of scenario continues to happen. Thanks for the info.

i expect us Filipinos to actually learn from our past mistakes and not keep voting because of popularity. Senatorial positions and presidentials are not to be taken lightly. Vote with the full knowledge that your future do rest in your own hands. And not vote carelessly or because its someone you like on tv doing action scenes and the like. We cant alwasy just go through People Power number 28 because we changed our minds 8months after he or she was put in office. therefore i conclude, if cesar Montano do run, i think he is wasting money and thinking of himself rather than the whole country. And for all those who are going to vote this election, please..do it Wisely.

korek! he is just wasting his time, effort and money in this battle. his excellence in the film industry doesn't mean he can excel, too, in politics. thanks for your comment.

I hope the voting public would learn from past mistakes. It's not just Cesar Montano, really, but the whole idea of famous people (not just showbiz but we also have boxers now) running for public office scares the hell out of me. I believe that no matted how good a person you are, in the long run you will succumb to the clamors of power that a politician has. And also, you can help our countrymen even if you are not in public office. Especially if you have the money to do it. Sad to say, no matter what my opinion is, i still think Cesar Montano has a big chance of winning. =((

WHAT THE HECK??! POLITICS?? MOVIESTAR??? is that what its all about now in our country?? Whats next???!! arent we suppose to be one of the country who has the higher rate of literacy??? Isnt is suppose to be the basis to run in office is not popularity but the capacity, capability, and knowledge to run a country??? I feel so small and humiliated...It seems to me this people in Philippine Politics are underestimating the intelligence of filipino voters... I just hope we wont take this crap from them anymore.. I hope we will learn to stand and tell them we're not that stupid after all.
