There are lot many things to take care while doing SEO. I will mention few, assuming that you already know html, css etc. Linking Incoming links to you are one of the most important things to improve site traffic. You can increase linking to your site by sending requests to sites/individuals with similar contents, place your site on various forums. Etc etc. You can also look for sites that offer such service, but finding a secure partner is a bit tough. If the site you associate with spams the search engine, you might also be adversely affected. Content Updating Updating content is essential to improve your rankings. But there is no point in updating everyday to get better listings. The Search engine spiders are not going to crawl your site everyday there are billions of sites out there. However it is always better to greet the spider/robot, with new content on its next visit. No one is accurately able to predict the frequency of the spider visits. So updating once in a week or once in a month will give you the advantage you expect from content changes. Keyword Density As ‘DeepThought’ mentioned, keep a watch on how many times you use your keyword, otherwise it may effect your ranking adversely. Use different keywords related to different pages. Revise your content and make it as useful for the visitor as possible, after all that is the genuine way to increase site traffic. I will add few more tips in next post as soon as I finish it.
