Bigamy - if it work - would you favor it?

I saw one episode of Boston Legal about a man married legally to two wifes and both are functioning well. But since the state don't allowed such practiced, he was jailed, unless he would divorce one of his wife. This devastated the wifes and their children since they both are happy and functioning well with the situation.
If you are one of the jury how would you decide? Would you favor such set-up if it work?

I think I would, not that I would want to do that myself but if it works for other people I don't understand why it is illegal. I mean if both wives are of legal age and make the decision to be with the same man then let them be happy! I have seem things about this on TV and they seem to lead pretty nice lives. If that is what they want to do I think they should be able to without the risk of jail time.
