Yes it sure does. Its one of the Highest paying job but comes with it pressure. Before you consider to work in a call center you must be well prepared in handling customers either be it inbound or outbound. Be ready to accept insult from supervisors or customers. Be ready to meet Evaluations by the Customer in some Inbound companies and also be ready for Supervisors Evaluation which could either make or break your career. You laso have to consider working at night and sleep in the morning. yes its stressful but high paying job.

Well you just gotta be ready to serve some cranky customers, they were unhappy just because of many things. I won't be stressed if I were helping customers, but will stress if customers were cranky at me. Make sure you still need to calm down and never let your emotions speak to them. Even though they were swearing at you, you could warn the customers otherwise you can just hang up the call. Some customers are nice and friendly that they will brighten your day. If you love helping customers then this job is for you but if you just thinking of getting stressed too easy then call centre is not for you. I am speaking of my own experience working at call centre.

i guess stressful because of the work hours. most call center agents are on the graveyard shift and that is very stressful, turning your world upside down. As for the calls...hmmm in a day, there will be your average irate caller, your senior citizen that will take a hundred years to finish, the neighborhood scold who will tell you the biography of their lives...its like a fastfood take-out counter. it can be stressful. it can be fun too.

I haven't tried to be a call center agent. But people say its routinary. So how can it be stressful if you keep on doing the same job everyday? =)
I guess, some people doesn't know how to handle their work properly. That could be one reason why they see their work as a stressful one.

almost any job can be stressful under the wrong circumstances..
in the case of being a call center agent; it could really be stressful especially if you're on midnight shift and still have to go to school every afternoon or if you have alot of other things to do during the day. getting enough of the health factors on the good level can really help lessen the stress that you might get from your job: enough sleep, good diet, regular excercise, etc...
and yes, call center jobs can really be stressful for some, notably for those persons who don't really talk much, coz you'll be answering the simplest to the most complicated questions from different people everyday; and that can really be demanding for you, mentally and physically. anyway that is how i think of it at least.. ty!
