Maybe cat-lovers are sensitive people more the very emotional.
To get in touch with a cat you have to "understand" him. If tou want to touch and to caress a cat you have to be calm and relaxed otherwise he run away.

I have to agree with you there; cats to seem to WANT to be understood, between their bursts of indepenance.
It makes one ponder the true nature of the cat.

I disagree. I am a cat lover and I'm not very emotional, heck I'm not even slightly emotional. That could be because; even though I love cats, I prefer dogs.
Yeah, that's probably it.
Extreme cat lovers, in my experience- are all insane.
creepy cat ladies...scary stuff

Speaking in generalities, I would have to agree that Cat owners; are more emotional than owners of other types of pets, except for perhaps ferrets.
Cat's themselves are emotional I suppose.
But I still stand by that while I love cats, I am not emotional. I wish I were, but it's just not in my chemical makeup.
