The old saying is that women fall in love with a man who reminds them of their father and men fall in love with women who remind them of their mother. Now, this doesn't mean they have to look alike or do everything alike, there is just something within their character that feels familiar. WHAT ARE your VIEWS----?

Oh my gosh, it couldn't be more right in my situation. I didn't even mean to! (I suppose we never do.) I really dont' think I ever dated a man like my father until I met the man I married. I guess there are issues I need to work out with that type of personality. My husband is even born within a week of my dad. Irony? They can't stand each other and recently stopped speaking altogether.

When my fiance and I got together at first i didn't really notice any similarities but at the time i wasn't on speaking terms with my dad, i now am and i notice so many little things that they do, maybe this is true!!!
I love him to bits.

I cannot agree with that because my husband is nothing like my father and nor am I like his mother. BUT our son's latest girlfriend (and it is heading towards being a serious relationship) has so much in common with me that it is a bit scary. I tell him that too. LOL
