I got struck with an incident..... My PC with my Laptop.

When I bought a new Laptop which was gifted by my father, I connected to the main PC through LAN, Do u know that when this is done only when ur Harddisk have some empty space in it? I got a message that " U cannot access as u r in need of memory in ur Hardisk " I was shoked with this message, I dont think that to transfer data from PC to Laptop we need some empty space in hard disk .? Any ways is it necessary or my computer is hanging with some problem with the LAN connection? What do u think about this? I want a good solution for this.........
