No, I am not asking for a negative rating. Please don't anyone hit that little minus sign!
My question is how do you know if you are receiving negative ratings? Are you able to tell by who? Also, is there any way to find out why they are giving you a negative rating?
I am questiooning this because my star rating is dropping and I can not figure out why. Does anyone have any suggestions of why my star is steadily dropping?

I am going to cut and paste an alert that I have recd from mylot about this matter:
=========================================================
QUOTE:
Every day we receive inquiries and read discussions about why your myLot reputations have changed. Some of these inquiries and discussions blame other users for a reputation decline by suggesting that one user rated them negatively on all of their posts.
The purpose of this Alert is to stress that we have taken precautions to significantly minimize the impact of rouge users harming your myLot reputation by repeatedly rating you negatively. In fact, this kind of behavior will only harm the user who does the inappropriate negative rating. To be clear, it is impossible for one rogue user to significantly damage the myLot reputation of another user.
These precautions have been in place from the beginning. Your myLot reputation is truly a measure of how you are perceived by the myLot community as a whole, not by just a handful of users.
So please keep this in mind when you myLot reputation changes or when you rate the actions of other users.
======================================================
I am sure that you too must have recd this alert.

Yes, I have received this same alert. This alert does not explain anything. My question is does anyone know why my star has gone from a 10 to a 9. I have also gone from a 97% down to a 94% and I am trying to figure out why the significant drop in my rating. Do you have any suggestions of what I can do to bring my rating back up to a 10?

Note the terms -significant, this means that a rogue user could still marginally damage your mylot reputation.
I am sure that there must be tracking mechanisms that must be keeping track of users that repeatedly rate all responses, discussions negatively, or people who keep on rating one persons performance negatively.
I am sure that the mechanism would check such negative ratings with the number of positive ratings that the discussion or the user must have received from other participants besides the rogue sues
All the above is conjecture on part, I could be wrong or only partially right.

You have no worries here my friend. I rarely hit the minus button on anyone. :-) There is no way for us to know when someone hits the minus button for us but if we see our rating drop that could tell us a little something. It is not a good idea for myLot to allow people to see who hit the minus button on them as it would cause problems. Only myLot would be able to tell all this information. There was a glitch in the system which is probably why your rating dropped so I am sure it will be fixed.

Yes, I got word that the glitch had been fixed to and was excited in anticipated hopes of being a 10 again. No such luck, the percentage even went lower. I don't understand.
Any suggestions of how I can become a "10" again?

Unfortunately, the only way to know that you have been rated down is to watch your rating drop. There is no way to see who has rated you down, and I do not think that there ever will be. MyLot probably does not want us to know this information, probably because they do not want members to start trying to get even with each other for rating them down. Most of us would not do that, but there are some members who would, just as there are some members who will rate you down because they don't agree with you.
