You just cant compare these two gr8 players who have dedicated themself to the game of cricket simply becoz they r from a diffent ere...but to be frank its SACHIN obviously.....!!!

Its too difficult to compare. They are from two different era. Gavaskar played mainly test cricket and ODI just getting popular. Sachin started in an era where ODI is so popular. The number of Gavaskar is much less compared to Sachin's. Gavaskar faced the great bowlers of West Indies in their prime form and still can score centuries. They are great legends in their own time zone. Let us enjoy them, don't compare.

hey its injustice to make sachin near to gavaskar.what was gavaskar doin at sachins present age.getting 100 from 400 balls is not goin to be tied up with a man having strike rate more than 90.

no body is better in my opinion, because the better is the term which should be used with the person who is performing better and this doesn't suits with Sachin nowadays, one good innings after a lot of failures doesn't prooves him better. Gavaskar in my opinion always played for himself, never tried for his team to win the match, that's why he has a good career record although Indian Cricket Team lost too much matches.
