The star on the left is the persons mylot reputation. 0 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. It depends on the quality and quantity of a persons discussion. A star comes up as soon as you have responded to discussions and you reach a score of 100. Also depends on + rating that you give and get. Best of luck.
