Do you watch like you used to on a normal basis or do you surf more?

I've started to notice now that in the past couple of years, my internet activity and surfing has gone up a lot. So much so, that I'm starting to watch less and less television. And even the TV I do watch can also be seen on episodes that are downloaded to the internet and I can watch them there instead, and they have no commericals so it makes it much more easier to watch. Do you still watch a lot of TV or have you noticed as well that your internet usage has gone up more and you're watching less television for entertainment? AGN Joe

Yeah, being I was raised where my father was telling me every 5 minutes to turn off a light to save money, it kind of rubbed off on me to where I can't do both at the same time. I will say that if I ever get an HD TV, I'd make sure it would be a strong enough of a definition to where I could connect my computer to be put onto the HDTV display. I know that the newer TV's have 1080i display, but they are expensive and I'll most likely have to wait until they drop down in price before I could ever do that.

Since i got broadband last year i have practically completely stopped watching tv! i watch a few tv shows on the internet but i rarely use my actual tv anymore, the internet is soo much better because you can do your own thing, you dont have to stick to a schedule, everything is interactive, its rerally really great! I could probably say i am addicted to the internet but meh

But do you think that too much of one thing could be bad...like an addiction perhaps?

I think I actually watch more tv, as when I'm on the computer, I have the news or the history channel on at the same time!

More? Wow. See, I don't know how you can do it. When I'm either surfing or watching TV, I can't do both at the same time because it's just way too distracting. I'll have to watch TV, then when a group of commercials comes on, I'll then switch back to surfing. But I guess what I'm talking about is have you noticed that your surfing has gone up and your TV watching has gone down?

You are right AGNJoe I have also noticed that my time for watching TV has reduced to a great extent due to internet.

I know. My wife thinks I'm addicted to the internet, but for me, it's like my source of entertainment for me now. I still watch TV on occasion, but I'm doing less of it than I used to. AGN Joe

Ever since I had an Internet connection at home, I also rarely watched tv. Now I just watch tv at night when some local soaps that I like are being shown. If I want to watch international channels, I could do that in the Internet. Plus I could do a whole lot more things on the Net.

So true. I think the internet will eventually replace television as a whole and we're eventually going to start seeing programs and series being featured on the web. People will be able to watch more of their programs when they want to watch it. I seriously believe that will happen or television networks will have to adapt even more than they have now to keep people watching.
