How extensive is the fish farming in Africa? It would have a dual purpose in that there is food for the population plus it would create work opportunities as well.

I think thats a brilliant idea to heelp eradicate poverty, but there are food risks, there are instances in food farms where the farmers are give chemcials to help grow the fishes or animals and these chemicals are harmful to humans when eaten.

I suppose it's also a new take on that saying, give a man a fish and he'll eat it, give a man rod and he'll fish for one. Give a man a fish and he'll breed it with his neighbours. Ingenuious!

I think fish farming is a brilliant choice to help the African people to get over from poverty and it also provided a business opportunity as well. Many people will have the opportunity to own a business which doesn't require bigger capital. And the other good thing is that it can provide foods in the table. I think if people will only think hard there still many possibilities that may able to help poor people and poor country in the long run. Sometimes people needs help and a gentle push in to the right direction. Somebody just need to lead the way.

I think it is a good idea. But in some places water is very scarce, so it would be hard to maintain in those areas wouldn't it? Fish and many other types of farming is wonderful, as well as teaching everyone in their own home lands how to use, Native plants in there areas too. There is no excuse at all with todays technology for anyone to be without good shelter and food. None at all. I am glad to see many are helping people fix this. Keep up the wonderful work! - DNatureofDTrain
