Well I went shopping yesterday due to me moving and leaving the Dryer behind I needed a Clothes Hose. After trapsing through several Shops and loosing where I was a couple of times and walking round in Circles ( For those that do not know I have just moved here) I eventually found one. Not to expensive and just what I needed. I picked one up from the front of the Pile and started walking away. Something caught my Attention in that Isle and the next thing I heard a crash behind me, well when I turned round there where all the Clothes Hoses on the Floor, I just looked and then realised I was the only one in the Isle and that I must have picked up the one that was holding them all up. Well Blondie here quickly scappered to the next Isle before anyone noticed. Ok, normally I would have picked them up, but there was 10 of them in different Sizes so it would have taken ages and they would have been heavy to. As I walked down the next Isle I heard someone say "Oh no not again" well that made me feel a bit better, I was obviously not the First to have done it. I went to the Cash out, paid and hurried out the Shop. It just had to happen to me again, didn't it.

Thanks gab, you make me feel alot better, to think that I am not the only clumsy person in the world. Silly, embarrassing things have happened to me countless times and it's a miracle my face is not perpetually red! Anyway, if I had been in your shoes at that moment, I would just throw the clothes horse that I was holding in my hand down to the pile that is already on the floor and do a 100 metre dash out of that place, and pray that nobody will link me with it!! It's no wonder when I go shopping with my friends, I don't go into shops selling fragile things like cystals and glasses, LOL!

That must have been really funny. I can't help myself laughing. I am usually afraid to pick jars off the shelves as they are all crammed so tightly that I am afraid they will all come crashing to the floor. Pity you don't live near me as I am trying to get rid of a clothes horse, but then I wouldn't have had the pleasure of reading you funny post. Sorry for laughing. Ha, ha.

Ohh dear .. I do that sometimes .. it's so embarrassing .. the last time I did it was when I caught my wire shopping basket on a coat hanger that was sticking out .. not only did I pull that one dress off the hanger but the whole shebang fell down off the wall .. luckily the wire pronged parts just missed me .. but I was so cross .. a woman and her kiddies had been standing there just seconds before and it could have been really awful ..
The manager of the store came out to see what was going on and I had to explain how my basket had caught a hanger .. I felt like a flippin' criminal .. but as I said to him .. thank goodness I did do it .. at least it saved someone else having the metal prongs sticking in them perhaps ..
Pah!! I didn't even get an apology .. but for sure I won't be shopping there again !

Lol. At least I´m not lone, these kind of things usually happen to me. I usually go shopping with my daughter and she usually falls over laughing when something like this happens, which is not of much help, lol.

Sorry, I meant "alone". Gee, I can´t believe that I employed the word "usually" so many times.
Lack of concentration. I´d better be off to bed, it´s 2.20 am
over here.

Awe, poor sugar. I am sure that was very embarassing. I would have reacted the same way you did. I am glad that nobody saw you though. It wasn't your fault, they should have had them displayed in a better fashion. Knowing you weren't the first, they really should have fixed them another way. Well, at least they don't get bored on their job. :) Glad you didn't get hurt with anything falling on you atleast.

Well, they were not liquid, so they did not cause a nasty spill to mop, and they do not shatter, so no one had to sweep them up. I have seen a cooking oil display do a nose dive, and the plastic bottles will shatter, and it is a mess. Today at Wal Mart an employee was resetting a display, and we all heard this very loud ceramic crash, I would not have wanted to be her. Just consider that the washer hoses that jump in the aisle periodically provide job security for the people in that department. Have a great day.

Aha ha ha ha... What are you like, Gabs? Fancy scarpering to the next aisle! lol.
Now, if that had been me, I would have dropped the darned clothes horse and beat it out of the shop, pretty darned smart; I can tell you! Ha ha ha. Not that I'm the type that gets embarrassed or anything! :-)
Seriously, though... I've done that kind of thing before, particularly when looking through clothes on a rail. How is it, there always seem to be too many hangers crammed on there, and smarty pants has to be the one to knock them all off. Then, it takes twenty minutes to replace them all, and I didn't like the item I was looking at anyway! :-)
Oh well... mistakes and accidents happen. I'm sure you weren't the first, and I doubt you'll be the last.
Brightest Blessings and a big (((((hug)))))) my dear friend. x

Hey Darkwing I do that to or if the Clothes are neatly folded I always want the one at the Bottom and end up making them Messy lol My Girl despairs with me at times. My favourite one is the Bras lol my Size always seems to be at the back so I end up knocking all the front ones of and then they get tangled in the Coat Hangers and I loose my Rag with them lol and give up.
Big Hugs to you to (((((((Darkwing))))))))) xxx

Well safe to say you're not the only one. I cannot go to a supermarket or a restaurant without making a fool of myself. If there are things falling off counter or food flying off plates, chances are Ill be around. My mum says Im a direct descendant of Calamity Jane (on my fathers side ofcourse). ;)

Hehehe. Okay, it was not funny at that moment. I don't blame
you for not picking them up. They are fairly heavy and you'll end up breathless.
I used to knock things off the display shelves at the supermarket and shops and bumped into people because of my peripheral vision problem. There were many 'I'm sorry' and
I bravely picked the items and put them back on the shelves
even though I felt embarassed. Now I go shopping on weekdays
during non-peak hours. :)

I think that we all know the feeling, because it happens to everyone at some time. The favourite trick is to stroll along the aisle and suddenly notice something fall from the shelf, usually because someone else has has left it poorly balanced. Then when you try to replace it about 10 items start to fall and suddenly you feel very self concious, despite the fact that you tried to help.
By the way, if I buy a clothes horse and discover that it is slightly bent, I shall know who to blame.

The worst is having just plucked a fruit from the neatly stacked display at the supermarket and have the entire display roll to the floor. I pick up a few and the kind clerk tells me not to worry about it. But, you know that they are cursing you under their breath!

Gabs living with you must be an hilarious life! Thanks for all the fun and laughter you give us here on myLot!
Gabs, I don't know about in England, but I am sure the same rule would apply as does here in Australia. In a self-serve supermarket or store, you are NOT liable for anything you knock over. You could knock over a stack of glasses or breakable items, or jars of syrup (imagine the mess) and you are not to blame. The only exception is things on a shelf (such as novelties in a department store) with a notice about handling at your own risk.
Even though you were not to blame, I can imagine how embarrassing it would have been for you - and of course, it would have to be you.
Thanks for the laugh.
