I see alot of people do this. I do it myself. I think it is a subconscious way of everyone keeping thier balance while they walk

I do it too, I have no idea why. I have been told I talk with my hands. I guess my hands get really busy when I am hyped up or excited about something. I think we just do it, even when we are not aware of moving our hands.

We move our hands and arms when we walk to help keep balance and motion. Once I had my shoulders totally out of whack for a good while, and I couldn't move my arms naturally while walking, heck, I could hardly move them at all. Once the Dr put it back to rights, I noticed an immediate difference in the way I walked and kept my balance. Just for laughs and an experiment, try walking across the room with your hands and arms tight to your sides (without moving them.) You will see what a difference it really makes:-) (Did you start walking like a penguin? hehehe)

I read your comment and tried it, I didn't walk like a penguin but it did feel weird. I probably looked weird too, LOL.

I think its gonna be strange if we dont move our arms along while walking. Maybe we do it so we dont feel strange..:)
