For your sons do you prefer a sport or an instrument?

I mean as his hobby. I know that every can make both this two activity, but i mean in the right way. When you have to pian an instrument for hours a day, or when you have to train for hours a day you can't do everything. So I prefer for my son an instrument. I think we can have a sane life also with less sport than tv says to us. I think the instrument help people to living better and to be also more romantic. Romantic in the sense of love the live and not to be too close to material things. What do you think about?

I don't really think it matters what the parent prefers, but rather what the child is interested or shows talent in. If he wants to play a sport but you force him to play an instrument, he will become frustrated if he is disinterested or untalented in that area.

I didn't mean to force him. My discussion was generic. However I think that as my father influenced me, i will influence my sons. Thanks for your answer.

I would let him choose. I think its important to give them a variety of things to explore - and to encourage them to be well-rounded. Either way, if they are working at goals, learning about who they are, and they are happy...go for it!
