My First Experience With Salvia

A small order of dried salvia leaves I ordered came today. And after much research and much discussion, I gave smoking them a try.
I wasn't sure what to expect, and even now I still can't quite put into words my experience. It was mild, but it was certainly something I'd like to experience again. With my eyes closed I had clear images moving across my eyes, I felt like I was bodiless and floating. I've never felt anything like that before.
I fell asleep shortly after I came down from the peak, and slept the most sound sleep I've had in years. I awoke feeling refreshed, clear headed and in a very good mood.
I'm planning on trying a quid next, and will relate those experiences as well.

I have never heard of this salvia. What exactly is it? I do hope it doesn't hurt you in any way. I'm glad you felt good when you awoke.

It's a type of plant - completely non-toxic and perfectly legal. There are no harmful side effects, unless it's abused. And even then, the harm is more likely to come from someone losing touch with reality and placing themselves in physical danger. The plant itself does no damage at all.

Thanks for explaining it. I went to look it up, and it didn't really say what it was, except you could buy it on line.

That sounds great to hear. Since I read your one post on it I've been trying to do some research on it. I'd love to try some just not sure where to buy it except for on the internet. I'd rather not do that if I don't have to. I'm having a lot of issues with pain right now so finding something natural that might help with that would be wonderful.

Thanks but right now Cannibis is illegal even for those using it for medicinal purposes except in certain states and mine isn't one of them. I would have no idea on where to buy it around here and I don't have the credit to do it on line.

Thank you for sharing your experience with salvia divinorum. I've known a couple of people who have tried it, and their experiences have varied. Neither of them reported the floating feeling you described.
Did you experience any strange after effects in the following days?

If I am right I believe salvia is what I know as magic mint. Back in my chemically altered days I used it several times. Smoke, extract, and chewing the leaves, all three brought pleasant experiences. I will be interested to read your next post.

That is it exactly! I'm going to try chewing it next, and I have some extract on the way.

I tried it and I liked it. I couldn't seem to stop laughing though :)

lol. Yeah, it's been known to do that. Some people never get to the meditation because they are too busy laughing. I never had that problem. I had my eyes squeezed shut the whole time.
