This goes out to all the former employees of Wal-Mart, Kudos to you for no longer working there! As an employee how were you treated? I was a cashier when I worked there, I was trying to go to school, I asked for a schedule change something that would work with my school schedule! I was going to school 40 hrs a week and trying to work 40 hours a week all on about 10 hours of sleep, I got wrote up due to to many days missed becuase of a misunderstanding between the two managers. They treated me very poorly, when I became pregnant it didn't improve in fact it just got worse finally I just stopped showing up for work. I had never left a job that way before and probably never will agian but in my mind I justified it because why should I show them any respect when I as an employee was not receiving it! I would never recommend to anyone that Wal-Mart is a good place to work, in fact I don't hardly ever shop there anymore even.

I worked for Walmart for 7 years. It was the only place around that would work with me (in the beginning) with my schedule. After numerous store managers and assistant managers I finally had enough and quit. Each manager had a different set of rules and way to do things. You could never keep up with the ever-changing rules. I only gave a weeks notice and they put me down for no re-hire, not that I would ever go back. That was the absolute worst job I have ever had. They chase the good employees out and keep the idiots and they do it for a reason. They can't control the smart employees but the idiots will do whatever they want. I wouldn't recommend WalMart to anyone. I too can barely stand to shop there.

I so agree with you, the good employees get the boot, and they keep the ones that don't have a clue! I am with you I would never recommend working at WalMart to my worst enemy! I had the same issues with the managers one said one thing another said something else. I quit with no notice(the only job I have ever done that on, I decided if they can't respect me then why should I respect them), I actual don't know if they would rehire me or not but you know I am not going to bother finding out if they would or not!

I worked there twice now. One was a store grand opening, which I will NEVER do again!
I caught some kind of flu virus that spring and was having probs everywhere if you know what I mean, and asked them to go to the bathroom. It took them 3 hours after I turned my light on to get someone there to relieve me to go to the restroom. Anyone looking at me could see how sick I was. And to make it worse, they put me on the grocery end! What a bunch of maroons! lol.
Second time I worked there, it was good and I really miss it, but my stocks suck and once I hit the 7 year mark, I'm selling them! lol

I would have to say Walmart is one of the worst employers out there. I know very few people who have worked for them that has had anything good to say about them.

I used to work in the Pharmacy and let me tell you I was sooo happy to get the heck out of there. Wal-mart in general treats their employees badly especially behind the scenes. Breaks and lunches were always optional and training lol they might as well not have done it. All I remember is sitting in front of the computer for hours doing those stupid trainings. It has been years since I worked for walmart now and well I am so happy that I am not there anymore. The money was poor and the management was worse.
