Hi, friend, my brother made an interesting pole for his American flag. He bought PVC pipe of the appropriate length, and an umbrella stand for your patio furniture at Wal Mart. He attached the flag to the pvc, and can set it upright in the holder which he has screwed to the decking, so it will not fall over or blow down. I do not know if that would help, but the cost is probably under $50, and the PVC is white, never needs painting.

ellie, i think gardengerty has a wonderful idea about your flagpole. PVC pipes aren't that expensive, right? so, by a low cost, you can have your flag on the pole you made yourself. will make you even feel better since you did everything yourself, the flag and the flagpole, too.

Wow, thirteen hundred dollars for a simple pole? That seems crazy. Have you tried Ebay, or anything like that, yet? I can't imagine that you couldn't get a flag pole for cheaper than a thousand dollars. But if you can't, I think that your idea of making a applique flag for your wall is a great one, until the day when you can really make your flag life-size.
Would this pole do?

That's what I found just looking for a minute or so on Ebay. I hope that you find something good! ^_^

If you get a stand alone flag pole that they have infront of a business, they will cost aroun that much, but I have seen them cheaper. If you want one for your porch they should not be too much like around 30 dollars.

flagpole for 1,300 dollars? gosh ellie! i calculated it in pesos and come up with this: 63,700 equivalent in my currency. wow! that's more than 10 months of my salary! gosh. what a flagpole it is. i bet no storm nor disaster can put down that kind of flagpole. haha! it should be. for that price? sue them if it goes down when bombed. lol
anyway, what's a yanjiaren flag mean? what do yanjiaren mean? sounds interesting since you did a flag on it. should mean something more than just a name.
it's nice to put it on your wall as of now. that's kind cute. how about if you have it framed? you don't seem to like the idea? well, i find it nice to be framed, too and hanged on your wall.
video production of what? there are lots of interesting things to know in your discussion. haha!
well, if you're in the philippines, a flagpole might only cost you hmmm.. about 5thousand pesos or less. like 104 in US dollars. but that's here in the philippines. hehe. take care!

I think that it is really too expensive to make a flag pole.
I suggest that you search online and find some information so that you can make it yourself.

That is just crazy money for a flag an dI dont think you should entertain the guy by buying it.
I live in Scotland and I cant actually remember the last time I seen a flag. Its pretty disappointing how we never have the scotland flag anywhere so i dont know anything about poles.
But cant you just get a big stick and paint it white or something. Surely your effort would be appreciated even if it looks a bit shoddy!!!
