Teens across america killing homeless people for fun?

This is just plain sad. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/02/19/homeless.attacks/index.html Apparently kids across the usa are attacking and killing homeless people, as a game. Some of thees teens are facing life in prison; yeah, its a shame for them to have wasted their life like that and to be spending the majority of their life in jail, but the video on that article of two teens hitting this man who was cowering and not doing anything bad to them... they kept hitting him with baseball bats, and later hit him with paintball gun until he died. Its just plain sad that there are kids out there who think that taking people's lives or causing them harm for no reason is fun. What do you all think about this? Had you heard about this?
