I just counted and we have 7. Stereos in living room and son's room. Clock radios in my bedroom and son's room. Battery operated radios my room and office. Radio in car! I listen to the livingroom stereo the most. How many do you have? Where are they? Which do you use most?

I have one stereo above the TV in the livingroom, I have three radios that use electric. I have one that is hand cranked in case of a power outage. I also have a TV/stereo combined. that runs on batteries or electricity. I usually listen to the radio station on my computer lol

LOL Is there anything we can't do with the computer? If I could just get this thing to cook and clean I'd marry it. I've heard of those crank radios but have never known anyone that had one. Does it work? I mean do you have to stand there and crank away as long as you want to listen to it?

Yeah i wish it would do my cooking and cleaning then i would really be happy!! You crank it for about two minutes and then it plays for about 20 minutes before you have to do it again. An arm can really get sore cranking those things. I only used it once when we lost our electricity during a storm.

2 for 20 that's not bad - cranking that's what kids were made for right. Hey used to work for the butter churn (actually before my time). My ex-mother-in-law had this thing you cranked to make applesause and grape juice. My older boys would crank for me but would get competitive "Who could crank longer or faster?"

I almost was going to add that as a question: does anyone have one in the bathroom. Actually the battery one I have in my room I take in the bathroom with me when "relaxing" in a hot tub.

A few months ago my car radio wasn't working and I found it difficult to drive - it was like the lights weren't working or something just didn't seem "right". When I drive I have to have the radio or sometimes I'll stick in a tape.

We have 4. I don't listen to the radio and/or stereo very much. My husband does, but, I have the TV usually when I am puttering around the house. We have one that is a crank radio in case the power goes out or there's another kind of emergency.

LOL I'll have the TV on in the bedroom, radio on in the livingroom and be in the kitchen - listening to both. That's 2 crank radios, I may have to put that on my "Faith wants" list.

We have a sound system in the living room so that's the one that gets the most use. Four clock radios, 2 weather radios, Radio's in the cars. Battery radio's in each bedroom, so that's 3. We live on the coast, need them. Stereo system in master bedroom, that's 11. I think we're covered. Oh, we have s box of batteries for the radios.

LOL you bring back memories of working 3rd shift at a care home. There was one other girl I usually worked with and at times while all of the residents were sleeping we got silly. Several times we called police to report situations in the area. We decided we wanted a police scanner so we could hear what they were saying when driving around. Angel eventually bought one but for the life of us we could not get the thing to work :( we were really disappointed.

"15" I do believe you win the prize for having the most - certainly no excuse for not having music in your house.

A clock radio will be also great to wake up to music:) my stereo has a one touch timer on the remote control, I set it to turn off in 30 mins or an hour, can turn it on and set it again if I wake up at night and it helps me get back to sleep :)

I love my clock radio and my son loves his. We both set them to play for a period of time, mine usually for an hour, helps me fall asleep. Afraid my son tends to leave his on all night, lucky for me his room is upstairs at the opposite end of the house from my room and I never hear it unless I go up to wake him in the morning.

That is nice that your mother-in-law lives with you. Do you get along well? I'm still close with my ex-mother-in-law and her son and I have been divorced for 25 years.

I am constantly amazed at how much worldly possessions we have today. When I was a child, we could not afford a TV or Radio till I was about 7 we got a radio and about 9 we got a TV. Today, I have a souround system in my living room, 2 alarm clocks with radios in my bedroom. A CD/radio in the kitchen and a radio in both of the extra bed rooms. By standards of just 40 years ago, we would all be considered rich.

We have one battery operated and 1 in the car. If you'll notice we don't have that much radio at home. We even don't have a decent radio because me & my husband really doesn't listen much to music. If ever we want to listen, we listen to CDs instead and we use our DVD player for that.

We have two stereo systems in the house, one in the livingroom next to the television.(My husband has the speakers set up for surround sound). The other stereo system is in our bedroom next tour television set. We hardly ever use these stereos because we usually play our music on the computer. We have on clock radio that is never plugged in...we only use it for occasions when we have an morning appointment and we have to be up at a certain time. My husband gets up every morning without it..as for me the twins wake me up every morning!!

I have one CD player and it has a radio in it. It sits right next to my recliner. But I also use my computer and my television to listen to music. So that all said I guess I could say I have three.

In our bedroom upstairs, my hubby has the surround sound with the home theatre system, we also have a clock radio. In the office we have a stereo system hooked up, radio, cd player, etc. In the den we have the dvd player that we can play cd's on, in one spare room we have another stereo system hooked up, I recently gave to the thrift stores 2 or 3 older systems we no longer used or needed, plus we have 4 vehicles with radios in them. We have one or two maybe three battery/electric powered portable radios also. One is in the barn. Wow, when you think of it, we have more than we need, but why do we always look at the new systems when we go to store, especially the electroncs store? Interesting isn't it?

LOL that was actually the whole point of this discussion, I believe you are the first to come to the realization that we have way more than we realize when we stop and count.
