What is wrong with her?

My wife has a very bad temper. She could flare up easily. Whenever we get into heated arguments, she would always insist that I divorce her. And when things get out of control, she'll threaten suicide. She'll grab a knife, bang her head against the wall, pop-up a couple of pills etc. Most of the time I always has to give in. I love my family too much. What is wrong with her?

Hi Jaffar,
Why don't you do yourself a favour and give her what she wants? Maybe when you tell her that, she might really wake up. She need a psychiatrist. Life is short, don't live miserably.

Your wife sounds like my brother's wife, she's bipolar. His wife attempted sucide twice that I know of. She's been commited twice to a psyc ward twice that I know of.
You can wait til she's in a good mood and bring up that your hurt by her actions. That you love her a lot, but you need for her to get help. She needs to be tested to see if she's bipolar and if so she needs meds. She needs to stay on the meds, or you will have another episode like you spoke of. Stop giving in, that's one thing bipolar people play on. If she doesn't get help, you can really lose her.

Sounds like she may very well need a Dr- she could be bipolar or have a treatable mental illness. Dont give in and suggest counseling a dr asap! Hang in there and dont give up! With proper meds and treatment, she can be the wife you know and love again! Good luck!!*hugs*

Anger with others is unhappiness with ones self.The anger will stop when she is happy with herself.Some people never are happy with themselves.Goodluck
