One of the few female, physician, killers who just so happened to be perfectly named Linda "Hazzard". She starved her victims to death, feeding them three glasses of boiled down tomato or asparagus juice a day.
In 1910, two wealthy English sisters went to Dr. Hazzard for her miracle "Cure All" treatment. The sisters thought it would be like a spa holiday, they had no idea what they really were in for. For thirty days they went through the fast, and enemas. One of the sisters tried to escape, but got merely to the bottom of the hill before Dr. Hazzard found her, and took her back to the room. That night she died. Since Dr. Hazzard wrote up her own Certificates of Death, she would often put Cerosis of the Liver as cause. After the deaths, she would preform autopsys in her bathtub.
Thankfully, the one remaining sister did manage to survive.
Dr. Linda Hazzard served two years in prison before she was released, and once more practicing her profession. Ironically enough, she fell quite ill and declared to the world that she would cure herself with the fasting diet, to prove that it really did work, and wasn't the cause of death in her patients. After thirty days of fasting, Dr. Linda Hazzard died from starving herself.
Today the house still stands, and the family that lives there believes it's haunted. In fact, they still have the same bathtub in the bathroom that Dr. Linda Hazzard preformed her autopsys in.
It's amazing what women have done in the past. Dr. Linda Hazzard, Lizzie Borden, Elisbeth Bathory, and the list goes on, and on... Do you know of any "Femme Fatales", perhaps from your area that are a little less known worldly? I'd love to hear about it.
