People Selecting Best Responses Too Soon?

How many days and/or responses should their be before you choose a best? If it's an opinion topic I don't see why people select it within a few hours sometimes. If it answers your question I understand it, it's just why do it right away when it lessens your chance of getting more responses.

Ugg this is me! I choose best reaspons way to soon and then another reaspns comes in and its 100x better! I hate it! I think there should be like a limit thing that the mylot staff should add where it prevents you from picking best reaspons for like two days or so. It would be very usefull for the dummys like me out there lol!

Atleast you know now, and next time you make a topic just wait a few days. Nobody will be getting mad. I have waited over a week on a few topics because I don't feel I have the quality post I'm looking for.

Yes, but we're talking about the best response being rated...

I wait at least a few days. But I just replied to a discussion that was only 14 minutes old with one reply before mine. The poster had already chosen that person as best response. Must be some kind of record!

Yeah I remember checking that man that's just plain old stupid. If it's a semi decent topic idea why not leave it open for others to respond with encouragement of the option of being selected best response?

Atleast you're learning. It's always best to wait longer, and once you're basically done with it, and haven't receieved a response in a few days then it may be time to select the best response.
