Had a look at your profile, you're at that age. I've lost count of how many people around 40 have hit the wall. What's happening is that you need to recharge the batteries. Human beings are designed to be pretty well stocked until about 40, then you have to start restoking the furnace. It's the old prehistoric ration supply. Suggestions, from experience; 1. Get some proper supplements, vitamins and minerals. A tin of Sustagen Sport with aminos will probably do most of the work. I'd be surprised if you didn't eat half a tin of the stuff. Remember to eat properly, good, fresh food, not junk, which really does make it worse, because it adds sugars and fats, and can upset your digestion when you're upset as well. (Tends to aggravate acidity, quite enough to play havoc with someone who already has issues.) 2. Meaningful, healthy exercise. Don't kill yourself, and above all don't over strain yourself. The fitter you are, the less hassle, and you'll definitely sleep better. 3. Get rid of as many environmental stresses as you can. Stress hormones are useful for dealing with stress, but as you probably know, they come with a price tag, and you don't need large amounts of stress hormones complicating things. Not wishing to sound too gloomy, but don't let it go on like I did, until you hit depression. Symptoms for onset are emotional confusion, inability to concentrate, and illogical, weird thinking. It's like falling in a hole. Just don't do it. It's not unbeatable, I beat it, but you don't want to know what it's like, I promise you. See a doctor immediately if it happens. Get some decent medication, like Zoloft or Prozac, not the less well known things, which are generally garbage, and some are even supposed to be addictive. The same suggestions also help with depression, incidentally, but you have to practically rebuild yourself.

based on what you're experiencing, the symptoms for stress are there, but then, you have to look far beyond the symptoms. Think instead of what is really causing you the stress. Are you in a stressful environment? relationship? Or in a particularly sticky situation? The most common cause of stress are the myriad of activities that we have to participate in. There just too many things to do in one day. No wonder most of us can't sleep, we still think about the bills, the clients, the kids, etc even when were suppose dto be in our beds sleeping. Some don't really live busy lives but are stressed because they are in a situation where they cant be their true selves. (Like me, I just quit my job because it wasn't making me happy any more, and every minute i spend in the office stressed me so much). And some are stressed because there's absolutely nothing to stress about. Hope you get your cure.

I would suggest that you find out exactly what is stessing you out. Is it your job? Your spouse? Your children? What meds have you tried? I do not approve of taking a bunch of medication, so I would find a way to do things naturally. When you feel you are getting stressed, change the situation you are in. Take a long bath, use lavender candles, take a nap, and most important, tell yourself that tomorrow is another day, so what happens today will be over today, and there will be something new to look forward to tomorrow. Things are just not that bad. Think positive thoughts. If you think of everything in a negitive way, things will always turn out bad. Find a way to laugh in any situation, make yourself smile more, you will feel it on the inside. Also, stay away from sugars and caffiene or any other stimulants. That will help. Take care of yourself, and good luck not stressing out.

I have been getting a lot of my headaches (which were not so bad for awile ) back again and I feel sick to my stomache a lot , I spoke to my doctor about this and after she ran some test she was able to find out that physically everything was ok and said I was stressed out . I know things are not going good for me at work and know that this is part of my problem . She told me the only way I was going to get past this was to talk to someone . I don't feel comfortable about talking to someone as I don't have a lot of faith in these people but in the end I agreed . Don't know how you feel on this yourself but maybe you could check into it . She did tell me that it will only get worse until I find newer ways to manage the stress in my life . Hope this works and all the best !!
