Give me one good reason why mankind is so dishonest. Just one.

We trust people from all walks of life and those that come from afar and distant lands. How is it that we being the kind of Earthlings we are became so dishonest. The question I will ask is what made us so dishonest?
We promise to be faithful in marriage and we break our promises. We promise to love and we hate. We promise to do good for each other till death do us part and we lie. You know we have something called "opposite" and it is so easy to use that we use it daily sometimes without knowing it.
Sine we all were born into sin, we cannot help but to sin unless we become Born again, we are all sinners.
If you are in this category, ask God to forgive you and He will.

I think our selfishness and pride, at times, makes us dishonest. We try to protect ourselves from hurt or from being maligned so we lie. Its the battle for survival, or its either him or me attitude that makes us lie most of the time. We lie at work to save face or save our jobs, we lie to our family to escape from scoldings or naggings, we lie to our friends to make us look better than others... Its selfishness, thinking only of ourselves and not how others would feel.

I ask for one good reason you you gave me many. This cannot be helped because we are mankind and when asked to do a simple thing and tell the truth, we have to tell that and lie too.
Well you have summed it up very well with selfishness. We aim to please ourselves it seems but you know what! You are right. Survival kicks in when it comes to reality. Live or let live.
